ハッピーハローウィン

There is an incredible "Cute Crap" factor to every bit of life in Japan. Cute blob-like animals are all over ever product that doesnt have a recognizeable, animation based character and that makes it even harder for the recognizeable characters to stay cute. Now that it is time for Halloween stuff to be sold here in Japan (not like anyone even knows what it is save for us foreigners), all of the famous animals have to get dressed up, and it can get pretty scary...

See what I mean? I am gearing up for another cool Halloween lesson at school, complete with family pictures, pictures of Halloween parties and internet Halloween gag sites to be browsed in the classroom.
Can't wait...

Here is a link to the Myspace account of Lyris Hung, the Heavy Metal Violinist that bought my heavy, metal violin.
Seems like she likes it ok and it isnt breaking her arm. Yet.

Finally, here is a random night shot of downtown Osaka taken with my phone...

Ta ta,
Erich von Meatleg

PS - Oh yeah, almost forgot... the Japanese at the title is just the Katakana pronunciation of "Happi- Haro-uin!" (Happy Halloween)
