Oceanboom Update

For those who don't know what a PODCAST or PODCASTING is, please click here to get up to date.

Now that you know the history, I will let you know that I am going to be making my own downloadable news show (or PODcast) that you can listen to on your computer or digital player such as an iPod. I just finished making my first podcast this morning at about 5am, and I have uploaded for you to try out. It is going to be a news program for my music website, Oceanboom.com, but it is not listed on the Oceanboom site yet SO DON'T TRY TO LOOK FOR IT THERE. It is only available thru the links below and I want my friends and family to try it out before I tell the world it is ready.

Click on one of the three versions below. The first two are in .m4a audio file in zip format. If you download it and watch it with iTunes you will be able to see pictures in the itunes display window as you listen to it (if you listen to it on a video or picture ipod you should see the images change as you watch/listen on your ipod)... The first one is a compress file, try that first. The second version doesn't download properly for Macs, but it is an unzipped version that downlods for Windoze. The third version is just an mp3 file, so if you watch it in iTunes you can only see one picture for the duration of the show, and its the logo I made specifically for the podcast.

Oceanboom Podcast Episode 1 (MP3)

This is not published yet on the site yet, but it and others will be, I hope, by the end of August. Before I publish them, give me as much feedback as possible. I need to hear as much as possible, like does the volume change too much, is the interview hard to follow, is the background music too low or too loud, etc, etc, etc...

Be forewarned when listening, this is a 19 minute story about a Japanese punk band and their music, and Japanese punk bands love English's "F" word, (that doesn't mean Fleischbein, farting or filanthropy).

Note: There is no merchandise section on the site yet, and we are not selling CDs on the site yet, so don't be confused when you hear that in the podcast. I am updating the site to include these features but I had to make the podcast first because I was in Wakayama near my friend's band, and I had to interview them when I had the chance.

Mine,
Erich von Meatleg

PS - You can't really tell, but I sing chorus/backup on two songs, "Let's drink together" and "California"... bit o' trivia for you to think about as you listen...
