XXXmas

No this post is not about porn, just thought I would have some fun missspeling things.
I celebrate this time of year each year the same way so I thought I would like to share.

First, right after thanksgiving I start listening to my favorite Christmas album:

Ren and Stimpy's Crock of Chistmas!!! A holiday tradition of mine since about 1997 or so.

Next, I trek home to see the family from across the globe. The trip from my apartment in Osaka to my mother's house in Oklahoma generally takes about 24 hours including the layover in Chicago, so everyone better damn well be happy to smell me when I get here.

Maybe most importantly, I educate my students in Japan about the holidays. I came to the US on Friday, the 15th of December but before I got on the plane that day, I taught three classes in the morning. As part of our holiday lessons I taught them some Xmas songs (unfortunately nothing from the Ren and Stimpy album, I thought "We wish you a Hairy Chest-Wig" and "Deck the Halls with Stinky Daipers" might be a little beyond their vocab) and we had a holiday drawing contest. There were six classes that participated in the drawing contest, so for each class we had one of three themes: Santa, Snowmen and Reindeer.

Then we hung up the drawings next to mine and voted on whose drawings were the best. The teacher here is wearing what I like to call a "face diaper" because she has a cold.

I like my Santas, but I think I lost every vote.

The kids asked if my Santas would LEAVE presents or TAKE them.

My snowmen were pretty cool too:

I imagine that they would be made out of steel rather than snow...

Some of the children seemed a little scared of my reindeer, not sure why.

They look pretty real to me.

Anyway, thats all for now. Check back aroun New Year's to see the New Year's Day card I made to send out in Japan...
Here is a video montage of the cartoon Futurama set to a new classic Xmas song by Weird Al. I think this is where I got my evil robotic Santa inspirations from:

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!
