NAGANO!

長野(Nagano) is REALLY freakin cold. Thats where I am now. I came here to visit a friend, and it is the so called 日本の屋根(Nihon no yane-the Roof of Japan). Its not quite as high of an altitude as Denver, but the humidity makes it feel MUCH colder. Last night it was MINUS 10 degrees celcius (14 degrees F). It`s cold enough to make grape seeds out of the largest family grapefuits and the snowmen here almost live long enough to get a birthday cake. Lots of skiing here, not that I care. I lived in Denver for five years and never felt the intrest; trees are just too angry, violent and nasty to fly by on wooden shoes and give them a chance to clothesline or stangle you and if you don`t believe me you don`t remember the Wizard of Oz. The snowmen here are sort of odd to a western eye. They are all midgets compared to their North American cousins cause the only have one body section under their head instead of two. I`ll post a picture ASAIFLI (as soon as I feel like it - or when I get internet access). For those of you who recognize the name, Nagano is where they held the winter olympics of 1998. Theres over a foot of snow on the ground, so I am almost looking forward to hanging out with mosquitos and bedbugs again.
